Weighing In

Sorry for the delay in posts--been trying to get everything finished at the house. The girls went in for their two-week checkup and Ella now weighs six pounds six ounces. Emma is up to six pounds nine ounces, but she gained an inch and is now 20" long. Ella only grew a half inch, so she is now 18 1/2". They are both doing great and are becoming more alert and looking around while they are awake. Patty and Jeremy came up for the weekend with their 2, so we had 7 kids in the house at one time! They took Hunter, Braydon, and Gracie back to FL with them and they are having a blast! Chancie talks to them daily on the phone and they asked her if they could stay an extra week. We are planning to take a trip to Disney in the middle of July with all of the kids. Hopefully we can get a picture of the twins with Cinderella. That's all for now......

Home Sweet Home

The hospital days are over...we have been officially discharged! The twins looked great in their little white dresses and bonnets. Chancie was going to walk out, but I forgot to pick up a pair of shoes for her, so she rode in the wheelchair. Everything has gone pretty smoothly since we got home. The girls continue to eat well and they slept for most of the afternoon/evening in front of the TV so we could watch Bones and House. Emma decided to keep Nana up last night until Chancie got up and put them both together (Emma & Ella) in one crib. From then on, they all slept peacefully. Not too much on the schedule for today. The new bedrooms are almost complete. I will need to get primer and paint for them today and Chancie wants to go ahead and pick out the carpet. We are trying to get a schedule setup for the twins on feeding and napping but so far they are not showing any real patterns other than they are not too fussy!! I keep praying that will stay the same!

Sunday Update

Everything continues to go well at the hospital. The twins are doing well and taking to the feeding like little pigs. Chancie is getting up and walking around and handling things under her own power. The doctors said they thought about releasing her today, but wanted to keep her in for one more night just to make sure she was "ok with everything". We are both looking forward to tomorrow morning when she and the twins get to come home. Then the fun begins! Not too much else to say about today....Hunter, Braydon, & Gracie had a great time at the movie/sleepover birthday party. They got to see the new Chronicles of Narnia movie, swim at the lake, play flashlight tag, and then go to a dance recital. Gracie didn't want to leave when I went to pick them up! Unfortunately they have school tomorrow, so they had to come home and they will not be here when Chancie and the twins arrive. I plan to pick them up as soon as school gets out so they can come home and play with their new sisters.

Saturday's Events

We have had lots of people coming by to see the twins! Thank you to everyone who has called, emailed, stopped by, helped out, and sent flowers. Everyone we know has done something to help out during this pregnancy. The prayers and food from the members of Bethany were such a blessing for us! And you know we couldn't have gotten this far without our family (the Winget "clan") and friends!

The girls have been doing well today. They are both taking to the feeding and crying very little. Don't know if that means they are saving it for when we get home.....? Chancie is doing extremely well...she is off the IV and up walking around! The swelling in her feet continues to go down and she has not been too bad with the pain(from what she tells me). We are really looking forward to getting the girls home tomorrow or Monday. Hunter, Braydon, and Gracie are going to a birthday party today and spending the night off. They are ready for the twins to come home too. Braydon's word to describe them----"Awesome!" All for now....will try to get more on this evening if I can connect from the hospital.
